Legacy Communications is a dynamic, fast-growing agency specialising in creative marketing, communications, and brand engagement. Known for delivering impactful campaigns for a diverse range of clients, Legacy thrives on collaboration and innovation. However, as the business continued to scale, it became clear that their existing on-premises file-sharing system was limiting efficiency, slowing down processes, and restricting flexible working.
With a team that often works on the go, the business needed a secure, central platform where staff could access, share, and collaborate on documents from anywhere. Their Microsoft 365 licensing offered the perfect opportunity to modernise and streamline operations – but to make the most of it, they needed expert guidance and a structured migration plan. The Challenges
Legacy’s on-premises file-sharing system was slow, difficult to manage, and offered little flexibility for remote or hybrid work. Collaboration between locations was often hindered, and the system couldn’t scale with the agency’s growth.
There was no centralised, branded platform for communication, leaving updates and resources scattered. Security was also a concern, with a need to protect sensitive client and business data during and after migration.
Solutions
All on-premises files were securely migrated to SharePoint with minimal downtime, following a tenant security assessment and system updates to improve protection.
A custom, branded Intranet Hub was built as a central point for documents, resources, and company news, with department-specific sites for easy access. End-user and admin training ensured smooth adoption, while Viva Engage integration created a single hub for updates, collaboration, and engagement.
The Results
Legacy now operates fully on SharePoint, with secure, fast access to files from anywhere. The Intranet Hub centralises information, streamlines processes, and strengthens internal identity.
Viva Engage is now the main platform for communication, keeping teams connected. With stronger security, improved workflows, and a scalable workspace, Legacy is ready to support ongoing growth.
